Not So Interesting Options to Camping Chairs

Simply put, camping chairs are one item that should always be found at a campsite as they make life far more comfortable for campers of all ages. You can find camping chairs in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit everyone at the campsite. Even better, with the low prices you can also find, it is hard to find good reason not to invest in camping chairs. It surely doesn't make sense to escape to the outdoors to relax away your day-to-day demands yet do so sitting on a hard, wood log. Justification for the latter would surely be interesting to hear.

The newer fold-up styles made with nylon material are lightweight and good for either the campsite "dinner table" or sitting around the campfire. Some chairs are designed with only a single leg on a hinge and done so specifically for the active camper. This seat offers the camper quick an easy set since the seat simply folds under and can be opened with a quick flip. These chairs are not the most comfortable out of all the options, but they do offer the active camper somewhere to sit while fishing by the lake or anywhere else a convenient, lightweight chair might be needed at the campground.

Camping chairs that only fold in half are far more comfortable than the more simple chairs described above, but they also take up more space. Such chairs have cushions attached or removable cushions. However, since the other option is a hard log or nearby stump few campers question a camping chair's comfort level. If you have the extra space, though, these cushioned chairs are more comfortable than other available chairs, and the opinions of experience campers would probably concur.

There are camping chairs available for people of all different sizes, which is particularly useful since camping is often a family experience. There are chairs ranging form smaller styles designed for children to oversized chairs for larger adults. One of the most popular camping chairs is the type that folds into a small bag and can be carried over the shoulder, with the bag averaging only six inches square and less than three feet long. Campers love the convenience of these small chairs. Camping chairs also come in a variety of colors and designs and can even be customized with a logo of your choice. A popular logo is a favorite sports team, among other popular logos.

Regardless of your ultimate camping chair selection, there is no doubt that you will be glad you made the investment once you are at the campsite. Even the simplest, most economical camping chair available today is more comfortable than the stump of a tree!

Camping on the Oregon Coast

One of the best places to camp in Oregon is along the Oregon Coast. There are numerous State operated parks and also private camp grounds.

Our favorite parks on the coast are Beverly Beach and Sunset bay. Beverly Beach is located on the central Oregon coast just north of Newport and Sunset bay is located on the southern coast by Coos Bay.

Beverly beach is located on one side of the road while the Pacific Ocean is on the other side. But don't worry! There is a walkway under the highway that emerges to the long expanse of sandy beach. The beach extends south to Yaquina Head Lighthouse, to the north to the headland of Otter Rock.

If you are looking for fossils, agates and shells you want to head south on the beach. If you want to surf or else just watch the surfers then go north on the beach.If the weather cooperates the sky will be covered with kites. It is a great place for flying kites because you usually have a wind coming off the Pacific Ocean. Some of the new kites are over 50 feet long.

Sunset Bay is located in one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon Coast. The campground has sites for tents and RV's as well as cozy and comfortable yurts. Each campsite is mostly private and level with tall trees.

The great thing we like about this park is the beautiful sandy beach that is protected by towering sea cliffs. There is easy access for beach-combing, fishing, swimming and boating.

Sunset bay is located next to Shore Acres which was once the home of a lumber baron named Louis Simpson. The gardens are spectacular! You don't want to miss this site.
