Fall Weddings - Autumn Theme Wedding Ideas For Brides and Grooms - Revised

Autumn, what a romantic, wonderful time to get married! Whether you want your autumn wedding to be very formal, most casual or somewhere in between, you have an enormous variety of possibilities. It is harvest time. The summer heat is gone. Yet the days are still warm and sunny. The leaves are turning into an incredible array of colors and as they fall off the trees, create a soft, lush colorful carpet. Bride and her attendants

Fall weather is unpredictable. It may get chilly so, consider heavier fabrics and at least some sleeve for the gown and dresses or top them with matching boleros, stoles or shawls that can, but do not have to be worn. The wedding gown can be white, ivory, champagne or gold. The gown and or veil may show embroidered leaf motif or dainty gold embroidery.

To reflect the season, the men and boys could wear tan, beige and brown attire instead of the white, black or dark blue. Their ties should be of fall colors matching the bridesmaids dresses and their boutonnière should be a fall flower.

Accent your invitations and wedding stationery with your chosen fall color. If you print your own, you may add fall graphics such as leaves, acorns, fall flowers, seasonal fruit, or a horn of plenty. If you purchase fall theme print your own invitations, fall theme is available. Cut the place cards to look like a fall theme item leaves, pumpkin, turkey siluettes etc...

FLOWERS

CEREMONY

Tables

Instead of numbering your tables, name them. For example:
Fall, Autumn, Acorn, Horn of plenty, Cornucopia, Maple, Oak, Apple, Pear, Pumpkin, Cranberry etc...

To add more interest and make it easier to remember give your table addresses. Just add Circle or Square depending on the shape of your tables and you send your guests to Fall Circle or Autumn Square etc...

Use fall color linens.

Ideas for Centerpieces

Before placing a centerpiece, you may strew fall leaves and or wheat on the reception tables and on the cake tale.

Place A Horn of plenty, a basket or a hollowed pumpkin lined with fall leaves or popcorn and filled with fall fruit, berries, nuts, gourds, mini-pumpkins and-or acorns as your centerpiece.

Pumpkin Ice Sculpture

Carve out the inside of pumpkins and place candles in them. If you plan a buffet, you may line hollowed pumpkins with foil and using them as serving dishes.

Fall floral arrangements in a straw basket or hollowed pumpkin.

Place 3 or 4 fall color candles of various sizes in hurricane lamps. The candles may be cinnamon, cranberry, spice or apple scented.

Place leaf or pumpkin shaped floating candles in a bowl, set it on a layer of fall leaves or straw.

Paint or spray mini pumpkins and gourds and group them together.

A real plant with real blooming flowers makes a great gift for guests. Chrysanthemums of many colors are pretty, very reasonably prices and you can get them everywhere; Wal Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc...

Display b bales of hay

If you have children, let them participate. Ask them to string cranberries, candies and popcorn and add them to your table decorations.

What is Bodylastics All About?

What makes Bodylastics work?  

The elastic tubing, the quick clip system, and the door anchor combine to give a multitude of alternative exercises to duplicate a gym-like setting.  

-Elastic tubing. The heart of the exercise is the elastic tubing and its various resistance levels. Unlike other bands, this tubing will not loosen over time, and it is extremely light which means easy storage and portability.  

-The Quick Clip System. To provide a wide range of exercises and resistance levels, clips are affixed to each of the bands that can in turn be affixed to ankle straps and handles. Which level of resistance band (there are 4 different levels in the basic package) is used and what combinations of bands are affixed determines the weight resistance of each exercise. These clips are a vital piece of the package and endure a lot of strain. Therefore, they are made of metal for long-lasting and high-level resistance durability rather than plastic.  

-The door anchor. Close the door over the nylon loop included in the package and make sure the foam piece is on the other side. Now you are set to clip any band, or bands, to the loop. You can vary the exercise depending upon where the anchor is located on the door. The top of the door creates a cable pull while the bottom of the door creates an ankle pull. The door anchor has been designed to not leave any damage on the door.  

How to create a particular exercise  

To duplicate any exercise you have been doing on gym equipment, or to create a new exercise, simply refer to the included manual. For reinforcement, you may want to invest an additional $5.00 to obtain a DVD.

Glen Innes Celtic Heritage

Draped in a quilt of green meadows and lush forests, the rolling hills stretch to the horizon where they join with the clear blue sky to create a contrast of colours as interesting as the history of this lush region. This is the countryside on the northern tablelands of New South Wales in Australia, a place of beauty and of intrigue, a place where the Celtic heritage of the people of Glen Innes is celebrated and revered, and a place that offers up innumerable treasures to be explored on your campervan holiday.

With a population of just over 6000 people, Glen Innes and its surrounding Severn Shire are a fairly average sized country town. In fact you would find many things you would expect of country towns- the friendly faces, the pretty scenery and the outdoorsy lifestyle. The different thing about Glen Innes is that it is the Celtic Capital of Australia, a heritage they have fostered here since the first Scottish settlers arrived 50 years after Australia was first settled. In tribute to this heritage the Australian Standing Stones were built, a solar aligned array of 40 granite rocks Modelled on the Ring of Brodgar in the Orkneys and similar to the ones ancient Celtic festivals were held around.

These Standing Stones are unique in a number of ways - for a start they are the only ones of their kind built in the world in the last 3500 years. What makes them especially unique is the Crofters Cottage next door, a cafe crossed with a giftshop that serves up traditional Celtic fare... very tasty and highly recommended! Around the stones every year over the May Day Public Holiday weekend Glen Innes has a Celtic Festival of its own. The Australian Celtic Festival is a celebration of the Celtic heritage of the region, and it has become renowned for its colourful exhibits, non stop entertainment and general all round appeal. Celtic artists from Australia and overseas play traditional music and everyone gets involved in a bit of traditional dancing. Theres stuff for the kids, theres stuff for the parents, theres market stalls, theres strongman events... theres everything really. Its a festival thats getting bigger and bigger, and if you can make your visit to Glen Innes coincide with it you will not be disappointed.

But there is more to Glen Innes and the Severn Shire than just the Celtic heritage. This is 'big sky' and there is lots of amazing places to visit in your motorhome. A high rainfall region with a generally cool climate combined with fertile soils makes this prime wine producing country, and there are over 50 wineries between here and the Queensland border. The Wright Robertson Winery lies 20 km south of town, and was one of the first to be established in the area. This family owned winery relies on organic farming methods, and a visit to their cellar door is an enlightening opportunity to taste and buy some very respectable wine.

Luckily a lot of this countryside is protected by National Park, and there are a number of Parks you can reach from Glen Innes that make for a good days outing, or longer if you wish to stay longer. If thick, lush rainforests are your thing then head east for 78 kilometres along the Gwydir Highway's World Heritage Way and you will reach Washpool National Park, which is the last remaining wilderness rainforest in NSW. Steep gorges are criss crossed by crystal clear creeks, and you are able to experience the worlds largest stand of coachwood trees. There are two camping grounds in the park, so you can stay as long as you like, and there are other designated picnic areas as well.

Fishermen too will be in their element in Glen Innes, with the local waters famed for harbouring the elusive Murray Cod. Other species such as rainbow trout, yellow belly and silver perch will keep the discerning angler content. A great thing about a campervan holiday to Glen Innes is that its an easily accessible destination, and whichever direction you drive to it from there is lots to see. Four hours from Brisbane and seven hours from Sydney, you can pick up your motorhome in either of these spots and enjoy seeing the sights and sounds of the Australian countryside on your drive to Glen Innes.

Six Good Backpacking Habits

When backpacking, habits matter. A better sleeping bag may keep you a bit warmer, and a cell phone or GPS unit definitely makes a trip safer, but the things you regularly do while on the trail are just as important. Here are six habits you should develop for wilderness travel.

1. Foot Care

Blisters and other foot problems are not always just painful inconveniences. If they happen far enough into a trip they can slow your hike out to the point where food runs short or you just can't continue. You may know how to treat a blister or trench foot, but good habits can prevent these from ever happening.

Make stopping several times daily to air out your feet a part of your routine. Take off your shoes and socks and set them in the sun. Pull out your insoles if you can. Soak your feet in a cold stream if they are very hot, but be sure the skin is entirely dry before putting the shoes back on. Change socks if necessary, and let the wet pair hang from the pack to dry. Cover "hot spots" with moleskin before they become blisters. This regular attention to your feet may seem time consuming, but it will allow you to travel more miles more safely.

2. Water Planning

Dehydration is always a possibility when hiking in the wilderness. It is dangerous in hot weather and it can even lead to hypothermia in cold (we need enough fluids for our bodies to heat themselves properly). Plan ahead so you never get the point of being thirsty and without water.

Carry two water bottles, and develop the following good backpacking habit. Anytime you cross a stream or are near a water source, if one water bottle is less than half full, finish it off and fill it. If you are using a water treatment chemical like iodine, while it does its job you will still have the other bottle full of water. If there is a long stretch coming without opportunities to collect water, drink up both water bottles if practical, and fill them both. Also be sure to start each trip fully hydrated. One more habit is to watch your urine. Unless you are taking vitamin pills it will usually only be bright yellow when you aren't drinking enough fluids.

3. Watch The Weather

It is a good habit to watch the weather reports before you go backpacking. You can get the forecast for anywhere in the world now online. But you also should be looking at that sky from time to time, and be aware of any changes. It is common to have lightning almost every afternoon in some mountain areas, for example. If the trail you are on is heading up high and you see the clouds forming, you might want to wait where you are until after the storms.

Learn to observe the skies in the direction where the weather is coming from, and also where it will affect you. If the streams you are crossing are fed by the mountains in the distance, and you see heavy rain clouds there, you might soon see a rise in water levels. Also, if you see the whole sky clearing out at sunset, you may be in for a cold night. Learn and observe.

4. Cell Phones

When backpacking, it's a good habit to fully charge your cell phone before you leave. Then turn it off. The primary reason to even bring it is to have a way to call for help. Preserve the batteries for just such an event. It's not fun to continually hear the phone ringing in the wilderness anyhow.

5. GPS

If you have a GPS unit, put fresh batteries in it before every trip. Then "mark" your car or the trailhead just before you hit the trail. A GPS can walk you right back to the vehicle if you remember to enter it as a landmark. Otherwise, it may not help much to just know your coordinates.

6. Leave An Itinerary

One of the backpacking habits most important to your safety, is to let someone you trust know where you will be and when you expect to return. That way if all else fails, help will be sent out there to look for you. Just be sure to notify that person as soon as you do return, so they don't think you are still out in the wilderness.

The Day When I Touch The Sky

I was craving for air travel since my childhood. Whenever I see a flight in the sky, I always used to imagine how passengers inside the plane would be enjoying their flying. But unfortunately air travel in India was meant for rich only. Few years back only national carrier Indian airlines dominated the whole field and its fare was beyond the reach of a common man. It was a time, only top bureaucrats, business men and politicians used to travel by air.

Now the whole scenario has changed drastically. Thanks to invasion of private airlines in the Indian sky. Their competitiveness in service and pricing has a significant effect on the domestic scene and that leads to even a common man like me started thinking of realizing my dream of traveling by air.

I was waiting eagerly for the right opportunity. One fine morning when I opened the news paper, my eyes straight away glued to an advertisement given by a private airline offering unimaginable low fares to Chennai. For a moment I could not believe my eyes. I just rubbed my eyes and again gone through the advertisement. Yes it was a god sent opportunity for me to fly.

I immediately dialed the airline numbers and enquired to know whether ticket is available or not. To my joy, they informed me that tickets are available. Without any hesitation I immediately booked my dream ticket for the dream journey. I felt as if it all happened as fantasy. Yes, the countdown starts. There is no need for me to dream now as I am going to realize my dream.

On the appointed day, I was so brisk in packing my things. Though it was more than eight hours for the journey I started flying now itself. Since I have to be in the airport two hours before, I booked a taxi. It was a rainy day and it was raining cat and dogs, but it failed to dampen my spirit.

The taxi arrived. Still it was raining. I took by suite case and a bag and locked my home. First I took the suite case and got down from the stair case of my apartment and kept in the back seat of the taxi and I closed the door to avoid rain water seeping inside the car and again came to the staircase and took my bag and got down to board the taxi. To my shock, the taxi was not there. I was started looking all the directions, but I could not find the taxi. One minute I felt that my dream run has ended abruptly. I became so tense. I did not know what to do? I tried driver’s mobile number. Unfortunately the phone was engaged. To add fuel to the fire, I got a call in my mobile from the airline informing that the flight timing has been advanced by 20 minutes. What a pathetic situation. I never heard in my life advancement of any timing whether it is a bus, train or airline. After fifteen minutes again I dialed driver’s mobile number. This time he responded. I asked him where he is going. I was really stunned on hearing his reply. He told me that he is going to airport. Going to airport without passenger? I told him that I am the passenger how can you go to airport without me. After a brief pause, he told me that he is coming back. In this process almost 30 minutes was wasted. Rain was still continuing. I became restless. The car back again. The driver told me that he thought that after putting the suitcase on the back seat he thought that I also would have sat. There was no time for me to scold the driver for his irresponsible behaviour. I asked him to rush to the airport. Due to heavy rain throughout the day led to water logging everywhere and that led to traffic jam enroute airport. This also added to my tension and still I was not sure whether I would be able to make it to the airport.

To my surprise after reaching airport I came to know that the flight timing was actually postponed by 30 minutes. The flight which was supposed to land did not land in time. We were told that due to heavy traffic congestion at the Delhi airport the flight landing is delayed. Since most of us are first time flyers naturally every body was so anxious. After seeing their condition I just said that though the airline is named as ‘go air’ it seems it will never go. After hearing my comments everybody laughed a while forgetting their tense moment. The bus arrived to take us near to the flight. After getting down from the bus when I look at the flight at a close range, I was completely spellbound by its beauty.

This was the first time I could able to see a flight in such a close distance and was completely amazed to see the wonderful carrier. After entering inside the flight I felt as if I entered into a big theatre. Now we were waiting for the great moment. Yes to take off. There was an announcement that passengers must wear their seat belt as the flight is going to take off in few seconds. We were waiting with bated breath. All lights inside the flight are switched off. For a minute the entire passengers were silent waiting for the exiting moment. We felt a jerk and the flight just started cruising into the sky like a big bird.

It was an unimaginable experience that no words can explain my feeling fully. When the flight was on its high altitude and with high speed, I felt as if I am sitting in a room of a five star hotel. When we all started settling down fully after the take off experience, there was an announcement again that flight reached Chennai and very few seconds from now the flight is going to land. I could not believe this. Within 2 ½ hours I crossed more than 2000 Kms whereby I used to travel the same distance by spending 36 hours in train. I felt as if I travelled just from one part of Delhi to other.

Really it was a wonderful experience which I will never forget throughout my life.
